The UK’s largest children’s reading charity, BookTrust work tirelessly to offer as many children as possible with the opportunity to read. Working nationwide, with a focus on families from low-income or vulnerable backgrounds, BookTrust are able to bring a welcome touch of comfort, enjoyment, and knowledge into the homes of nearly 1.5 million people a year.
Their core work is particularly beneficial to children in their early years – providing books and resources to every newborn baby through their Bookstart programme, and working with school children until the age of 13.
EC Group’s work with BookTrust has been evolving since our partnership began in 2012. Currently, our activity entails a wide range of tasks associated with their different programmes, primarily involving the packaging and fulfilment of books and reading material delivered nationwide.
We’re enormously proud of our relationship with BookTrust, particularly due to their incredible work in supporting some of the nation’s most in need, and vulnerable families. In the decade-plus that we’ve collaborated with them, BookTrust have provided books and reading material to over 15 million people in the United Kingdom – a number which we are delighted to know will continue to grow moving forward.
